The Red River Balloon Rally is the home of the U.S. National Hot Air Balloon Championship Race. Drawing over 20,000 attendees, this annual hot air balloon smack down is accompanied by live music from a list of regional and nationally acclaimed musicians, food and specialty vendors, children's rides, tethered balloon rides, and a wonderful sight of scores of hot air balloons dotting the southern landscape. To top each of the two night's events off, a spectacular balloon glow is accompanied by a fabulous fireworks display to celebrate the winner of the race and the wonderful class of aviation that is the hot air balloon.

No refunds, exchanges, replacement, or rainchecks for any admission fees for RRBR festival under any circumstance. 

 All times are approximate and schedule may change without notice. All events at the US National Hot Air Balloon Competition and at the RRBR are dependent on prevailing weather conditions. All events are subject to weather delays or cancellations. The safety of our pilots, vendors, volunteers and spectators is our primary concern.  All competitive flights  will NOT necessarily be seen at the LSUS Festival Site but will take place over the Cities of Shreveport and Bossier City and parts of Bossier and Caddo parishes.   Each morning the flight launch and targets will be determined based on prevailing winds. 

In consideration for being able to participate in the Red River Hot Air Balloon Rally (“Event”), Ticketholder hereby releases the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau (“SBCTB”) and Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission (“SBSC”), their officers, directors, members, employees and agents, and agrees to hold them harmless from any liability for any claim arising out of any injuries and/or damage to his/her property or person, including but not limited to permanent disability or death, or any loss of any other sort arising out of or related to participation in the Event, both known and unknown, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including but not limited to cancellation of the Event or any activity scheduled for the Event (such as tethered balloon rides) due to weather or the failure of any vendor to satisfactorily provide its goods and/or services for the Event, whether any such harm or loss is the result of the negligence of the SBCTB, SBSC, their officers, directors, members, employees and agents, or any other person. 


Further, Ticketholder acknowledges that participation in the Event may involve certain risks, which risks, include the risk that Ticketholder could sustain injury, permanent disability or death, while participating in the Event due to circumstances beyond the control of the SBCTB and the SBSC, their officers, directors, members, employees and agents.  With full knowledge and assumption of these risks, Ticketholder has voluntarily chosen to participate in the Event. In the event of any such injury, Ticketholder hereby gives consent for emergency medical care and agrees to be financially responsible for any medical treatment resulting from any injury. Further, Ticketholder agrees to indemnify the SBTCB and SBSC, their officers, directors, members, employees and agents, and other volunteers, for all harm, injury or damage that Ticketholder causes to any persons, property or equipment.
